Privacy policy

Linked CFO (“we”, “us”) provides bookkeeping, fractional CFO and strategic advisory services to charities and nonprofits in Canada and the United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect through linkedcfo.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

When you book a call, fill in a form, take the finance health check or download a resource, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, work email, phone number, organization, role, annual budget range and your health check answers and score.

When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect standard technical information through cookies, such as pages visited, referring website, browser type and approximate location.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and schedule calls
• To send the resource, score or plan you asked for
• To send occasional practical guides and updates, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
• To understand how the site is used and improve it
• To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, under agreements that require them to protect it. These include HubSpot (CRM, forms, scheduling and email), our website host, and analytics providers. Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Client financial data

Client financial information is handled under our client agreements. Accounting software is licensed in the client’s name, records are kept in the client’s own Google Drive, and our team accesses client information only through computers hosted in our Canadian office over an encrypted VPN.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep the site working, to remember your preferences and to measure traffic. HubSpot cookies help us understand which pages are useful and connect form submissions to your visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as intended without them.

Keeping your information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections and an encrypted password vault, to protect personal information.
